Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supply demand dynamics, and pricing movements within the thermal coal and bulk commodities market
- Source and procure thermal coal from international suppliers, establishing and maintaining long term procurement channels
- Evaluate supply sources to optimize procurement strategy
- Execute purchase and sales contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms
- Develop and implement regional sales and trading strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and trading partners across international markets
- Identify and manage market, credit, and transactional risks, and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Coordinate logistics, shipping, and delivery schedules to ensure efficient supply chain operations
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including trading, operations, shipping, and finance teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of trading experience in coal, energy, or bulk commodities with exposure to international markets
- Strong market analysis, negotiation, and contract management skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Self motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable in a fast paced trading environment
- Willing to travel overseas when required

- Evaluate supply sources, including production conditions and supply chain considerations, to optimize procurement strategy.
- Execute purchase and sales contracts, ensuring smooth transaction execution and compliance with contractual terms.
- Develop and implement regional sales and trading strategies in line with market conditions and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and trading partners across international markets.
