Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate and timely sampling, preparation, and analysis of samples
- Follow approved procedures across sampling, recording, preparation, analysis, storage, and reporting
- Ensure accuracy, precision, and traceability of all samples
- Assist with calibration and preventative maintenance of laboratory and preparation equipment
- Follow both routine and non-routine sampling instructions from the Supervisor
- Support general laboratory operations and other duties as required
About You
We provide full training and on-the-job development, however you will ideally bring:
6–12 months experience in a laboratory or chemical processing environment
Previous experience in a mineral or coal laboratory (preferred)
Coal sampling, preparation, or testing experience (advantageous)
Basic computer skills (Excel beneficial)
A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work 12-hour rotating rosters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
