Programming of complex aerospace components, experience with NX CAD and CAM preferred.
Create toolpaths and G-code programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn machines.
Program a variety of parts made from aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, etc.
Read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and symbols to meet military and commercial specifications.
Assist in process development including machine setup, first piece runs and inspection.
Select appropriate cutting tools and work holding strategies.
Collaborate with engineers and machinists to optimize machining processes and ensure the highest quality of components.
Create detailed setup sheets for machine operators and ensure clear documentation.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing/machining environment, preferably in aerospace. Knowledge of cutting tools, holders and work holding techniques Knowledge of different types of machines – 3, 4, 5-axis milling, turning, mill-turn Knowledge of different material types – Aluminum, Stainless, Titanium, High Nickel Alloys, etc. Knowledge of common/current material removal processes and techniques
