Responsibilities
- Modify and create programs for CNC machines
- Manage the setup of multiple machines for operator to run
- Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
- Monitor all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and safely complete the task
- Program new parts using best practices, including entering instructions and setting tool registers
- Prepare calculations for programming including where materials should be cut
- Translate instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program
- Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency
- Analyze and select speeds and cutting tools for programs
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions
- Help machinists troubleshoot problems with machines and/or production runs
- Continuously strive to eliminate waste from processes
Requirements
- Extensive experience as CNC machine programmer
- Knowledge about specification and standard operating procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity and skills with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills
- Associate Degree in Computer Programming or any related field

Job Summary
- The CNC Programmer is responsible for quality programming of CNC machine tools.
- Works with operators and lead personnel and utilizes Mastercam/personal training to produce precision, close tolerance parts.
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Job Responsibilities 2
- Program new parts using best practices. This includes entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Prepares calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
- Ensures to translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
- Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
- Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Help machinists troubleshoot problems with machines and/or production runs/
- Continuously strives to eliminate waste from processes.
- Ensure proper documentation of all systems and processes including documenting the parts run on CNCs.
- Create and maintain the tool list for CNCs and ensure accuracy at all times.
- Ensures to evaluates timely all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce turn around time (TAT).
- Directs and monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Extensive experience CNC machine programmer
- Knowledge about the specification and standard operating procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point)
- Controls and Instrumentation
- Familiarity and skills with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
