Position Summary
EM Dynamics is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to generate programs for CNC machines.
The role supports complex assemblies and systems for medical devices, theatre projection, defence and aerospace, and renewable energy sectors.
The programmer reports to the Plant Manager and works with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Translate CAD data for offline programming and make shop-driven design changes.
- Modify product designs and help develop fixtures for new products.
- Prepare CNC programs for machine controllers and support operators with program and inspection questions.
- Create inspection sheets and manual inspection points.
- Follow health and safety requirements and maintain an organized work area.
- Train setup personnel and operators and collaborate on mechanical troubleshooting and production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience with 5-axis machines and at least five years of CAD/CAM experience are requested in the source.
- Proficiency in Mastercam, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM, Heidenhain, and Fanuc is required.
