Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC plasma cutting machines, preferably ESAB systems
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and cutting layouts
- Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment before cutting operations
- Prepare and run CNC programs for plasma cutting operations
- Monitor cutting quality, dimensions, and tolerances during production
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Replace consumables such as nozzles and electrodes when required
- Ensure optimal material utilization and minimize wastage
- Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain housekeeping standards
- Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to meet daily targets
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Plasma Cutter Operator
- Hands on experience with ESAB plasma cutting machines is mandatory
- Knowledge of G code/CNC programming basics
- Ability to read technical and fabrication drawings
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and cutting parameters
- Good understanding of measuring instruments and quality checks
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards
