This individual will work from drawings to produce parts from bar stock and castings at a CNC vertical milling machine, or lathe, with little supervision.
Evaluate overall process for efficiency and make recommendation for improvement opportunities while maintaining minimal machine downtime.
Edit programs and set up CNC lathes and machining centers as well as support equipment, as needed in a production environment.
Troubleshoot and correct machining problems. Replace assigned tooling as needed (i.e., drills, boring bars, milling tools, etc.).
Shall observe and comply with all Company safety rules and regulations, and report incidents to supervisor and/or manager.
Monitors product quality through regular inspection intervals.
Must be able to interpret technical drawings and effectively troubleshoot machining issues.
Must maintain a satisfactory level of efficiency and quality in work produced.

Must demonstrate safety awareness, good workmanship practices, and continuous improvement.
Participate in simple machine maintenance as required.
Meet outlined production and quality goals while operating equipment when change overs are complete.
Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
English Language — Basic knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.
Minimum Required Qualifications and Education
· Some High School
· 6+ months of forklift experience
· 1 year general industrial manufacturing/production experience
· Able to understand instructions and safety procedures
Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection and Hard Hats.
· Will be safety conscious and put safety first
· Knowledge of steel fabrication processes
· Must be comfortable working around heavy machinery, open flame and heat
· Should be able to work any shift
· Must be able to work occasional overtime to meet operational deadlines
· Able to work in a demanding face paced environment
