As a CNC Grinder, you will play a critical role in manufacturing high-precision carbide cutting tools using advanced CNC tool grinding machines. You will be responsible for programming, setup, operation, and inspection to ensure consistent, premium-quality output. This position is ideal for a hands-on machinist who values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Supervisory Responsibilities · None What You’ll Be Doing · Set up CNC grinding machines, including tooling, offsets, and adjustments. · Program and operate CNC grinders to meet exact blueprint and customer specifications. · Read and interpret detailed blueprints, prints, and technical documentation. · Inspect parts using precision measurement and quality control tools. · Monitor production quality throughout the process—catching issues before they become problems. · Troubleshoot quality concerns and communicate effectively with programmers and leadership. · Perform daily machine inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation. · Maintain organized, clean, and safe workstations. · Support continuous improvement and take ownership of your work. · Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support production goals. What We’re Looking For · High school diploma or GED required. · 2+ years of 5-Axis CNC setup and operation experience, preferably on ANCA- or NUM-controlled platforms. · Strong understanding of carbide cutting tools and grinding processes. · Machining or CNC-related certification preferred—but proven hands-on experience is valued just as highly. · Knowledge of cutters, inserts, feeds, and speeds is a strong advantage. · CNC programming experience is a plus, but not required. · Manufacturing experience preferred; motivated learners are encouraged to apply.
