CNC Operator | 2nd Shift

Viking Group is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team.

This position is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and optimizing CNC machine tools to produce precision components that meet strict quality and production standards.

The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring equipment, troubleshooting machining issues, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements, specifications, and setup procedures.
• Set up and operate CNC machines and other machine tools within an assigned work cell.
• Mount, align, and secure tooling, fixtures, attachments, and workpieces.
• Install preset tooling into tool posts, turrets, indexing heads, and automatic tool changers.
• Load CNC programs and retrieve machining instructions from the machine controller or database.
• Monitor machine operation and control displays to ensure proper performance and detect malfunctions.
• Adjust machine controls, feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy and optimize machining performance.
