Responsibilities
- Position Overview
- Working in our Columbia, CT facility, the CNC Milling Technician is hands on preparing, operating and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components. This role blends mechanical aptitude, programming knowledge, and quality focused inspection to ensure parts meeting engineering specifications and production schedules.
- Key Responsibilities
- Setup and operate CNC Milling Machines for 3 and 4 axis operations.
- Maintain production on 2-4 machines simultaneously depending on complexity/cycle time.
- Use standard gaging to validate parts are within specifications shown on operation sheets.
- Adjust tooling and offsets as needed to maintain product conformance.
- Fill out required paperwork for all work performed (Dimensional check records, operation signoffs, shift-to-shift handoff notes.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Move completed jobs to proper area to stage for the next operation.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years on CNC milling machines in a production environment.
- Familiarity with 3, 4-Axis or similar CNC multi-axis machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and operation sheets.
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
