About the Role
EthosEnergy is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate CNC Lathes, particularly the Hankook Protec 9NC, in a workshop environment for oil and gas equipment manufacture and repair.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, in particular Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe, according to work orders
- Visually check cutting tools and materials before commencing work
- Operate machine safely in accordance with operating instructions and QHSE policies
- Coordinate with QC Inspector after completion of works
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials
- Program Fanuc CNC controls
- Perform other related field, maintenance or shop duties as assigned
Requirements
- Trade Machinist qualification
- Minimum 7 years previous experience working with CNC Lathes
- Minimum 3 years working on Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe
- Expert in Programming/Setting/Operating CNC lathes, especially Hankook Protec 9NC
- Proficient in use of precision measuring equipment and dimensional checking
- API equipment manufacture and repair experience
- Good communication skills in English

Job Overview
- To operate CNC Lathes and in particular a Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe in accordance with competence/knowledge, manufacturers’ operating instructions, laid down QHSE policies and procedures, ensuring that required products are manufactured and delivered within required time frame and quality standar
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operates CNC machines in particular Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe.
- Visually check cutting tools and materials to commencing the work.
- Operate the machine safely and competently in accordance with operating instructions.
- Coordinate with QC Inspector after completion of the works.
- Ensure effective hand over at beginning/end of each shift.
- Read and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
- Performs other related field, maintenance or shop duties as assigned.
- Responsible for general housekeeping and cleaning of area.
- Program Fanuc CNC controls.
- Set and operate CNC lathes (HANKOOK 9NC, DOOSAN 800 and DOOSAN 400).
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Expert in Programming/Setting/Operating CNC lathes in particular Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe.
- Programming Fanuc 21i TB and Fanuc 32i Model B controls.
- In the use of precision measuring equipment.
- Dimensional checking of components.
- Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
Experience
- Trade Machinist.
- Minimum 7 years previous experience working with CNC Lathes.
- Minimum 3 years working on Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe.
- API equipment manufacture and repair.
- API threading experience.
- Premium threading experience (desirable).
- Ideally should have extensive experience in a workshop environment for oil and gas companies.
Education Requirements
- Trade Machinist.
- Matriculation certificate preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Light physical effort.
- Sufficient physical ability to work in an industrial workshop environment.
- May require travel across the Middle East and GCC country.
