Job Overview The CNC Tooling Lead is a highly skilled professional responsible for overseeing tooling operations within CNC machining environments.
This role ensures the accurate setup, maintenance, and optimization of tooling systems to support efficient production.
The CNC Tooling Lead will collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to maintain quality standards, troubleshoot tooling issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay Rate: $22.00 – 27.00/hour DOE.
A Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways.
On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: Leading the setup and adjustment of CNC tooling for various machining operations.
Inspecting and maintaining tooling to ensure precision and reliability.
Collaborating with CNC operators to resolve tooling-related issues and optimize performance.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Monitoring tooling inventory and coordinating procurement of replacement parts.
Training team members on proper tooling practices and safety protocols.
Driving process improvements to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC machining with a focus on tooling.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Strong understanding of CNC tooling systems, cutting tools, and machining processes.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
Proficiency in precision measurement tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Computer literacy, including familiarity with CNC programming and tooling databases.
