Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with instruction for the didactic, psychomotor, clinical, and laboratory components of all CMTI-accredited Paramedic (EMT-P) programs operating throughout Massachusetts.
- Prepare and deliver instruction under the supervision of the CMTI Program Director or Instructor/Coordinator.
- Supervise Paramedic students during classroom, laboratory, simulation, and other instructional activities.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to the CMTI Program Director or Instructor/Coordinator.
- Conduct case review sessions in the Simulation Lab, classroom, or off-site training locations.
- Operate audiovisual equipment and simulation laboratory equipment.
- Participate in professional development programs offered by CMTI.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Adhere to all CMTI policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CMTI Program Director, Director of Operations, or Instructor/Coordinator.
Knowledge/Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess a current Massachusetts Paramedic (EMT-P) certification and be in good standing with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Massachusetts Paramedic Instructor/Coordinator certification is preferred but not required. CMTI is willing to sponsor selected candidates for the Instructor/Coordinator program after one year of successful employment.
License, Registration, and Certification Requirements
- Valid driver's license required.
- Current Massachusetts and National Registry certification as a Paramedic (EMT-P).
