An Injection Molding CMM Engineer is responsible for ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality compliance of injection-molded components using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) technology.

This role combines expertise in plastic injection molding processes with advanced metrology, data analysis, and quality control practices.

• Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for dimensional inspection of molded parts.
• Develop and validate CMM inspection programs using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), capability studies, and PPAP documentation.
• Analyze measurement data to identify trends, root causes, and process deviations.
• Collaborate with tooling, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve dimensional and process issues.
• Support mold validation, mold trials, and new product launches.
