Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are managed safely, effectively, efficiently and completed on time and within budget
- Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects from planning to completion
- Ensure contractors and supervision consultants follow correct processes and procedures
- Assess capability of client’s existing project management staff and recommend roles
- Develop and rectify department operating structure and tools
- Develop and implement project plans including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues or delays
- Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and standards
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management
- Lead and supervise a team of construction professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in large scale infrastructure or city development projects
- Experience as construction manager on large scale projects
- Extensive experience in construction management of water and wastewater works
- Experience of implementing a zero accident philosophy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of working internationally (preference KSA)

General Description of Role and Responsibilities
- The major responsibility is to ensure that the projects are managed safely, effectively, efficiently and completed on time and within budget in accordance with the objectives of Client.
- Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and completion.
- Ensure that all the contractors and supervision consultants are following correct processes and procedures.
- Assess capability of Client’s existing project management and construction management staff and recommend appropriate roles and responsibilities.
- Development and rectification of department operating structure and tools.
- Develop and implement project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead and supervise a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in large scale infrastructure or city development projects, leading to construction manager on large scale projects.
- Experience of major government and/or semi government international construction sites with direct professional knowledge of site engineering, project controls, environment, health and safety, contracts management and quality.
- Extensive Experience in the construction management of water and wastewater works.
- Experience of implementing a zero accident philosophy.
- Record of engagement with government entities / utility providers.
- Record of implementing continuous improvement on site and supporting capacity building / talent development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience of working internationally (preference KSA).
