- Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to work for our company.
Summary
Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
Design, optimize, and enhance cloud-based architectures to support ESS operational requirements.
Creating scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that enable rapid deployment and customization of engagement infrastructure across diverse mission scenarios.
Lead planning and implementation for migration of on-prem capabilities into the AWS cloud.
Customize capabilities to align with engagement scope, technical, and operational parameters.

Ensure architecture supports rapid reconfiguration for dynamic mission needs.

Requirements
- Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
- 5+ years of experience designing cloud architectures, preferably on AWS.
- 8+ years of directly relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.
- Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Preferences
Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
Experience designing solutions for cybersecurity or incident response operations.
Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
Experience with Splunk.
Experience migrating on-prem legacy systems to a cloud environment.
Experience with Azure and Entra.
Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST).
Background in system administration or DevOps.
