Ø First and second line support for all compute, storage, and networking infrastructure issues for On-prem. and public cloud hosted SLES Linux servers.

Ø Drive OS and Application patching and upgrades as per the plan.

Ø Set-up Alerts, reports, and dashboards for monitoring system health.

Ø Delivery responsibilities in the areas of private cloud network administration, security administration, instantiation, provisioning, optimizing the environment, third party software support.

Ø Perform day to day support on the servers like administration, housekeeping, maintenance, upgrade of OS, performing Security related controls and checks.

Ø Work on server related issues of major/minor/simple/complex in nature

Ø Perform patching and upgrades as per the plan

Ø Configuring Health checks and taking appropriate actions based on the alerts and checks

Ø Backups, snapshot activity in preparation to changes being implemented

Ø Automate the routine activities

Ø Linux servers Performance and capacity management

Ø Using the Change & Problem Management Tools to perform any planned/unplanned maintenance

Ø Handling of the Day to Day House Keeping tasks by using tools & scripts

Ø Preparation of RCA for all major/minor incidents

Ø Identify improvement opportunities in existing processes and recommend actions

Ø Build and deliver periodic SLA and other Reports to management

Ø 24 x 7 Environment in shift roaster based duties

Ø Attend calls on calls basis whenever assigned

Ø Coordination with Server managers/other teams and other stakeholders

Technical Skills :-

Ø Experience in Linux system administration

Ø VMware experience is of added value

Ø Experience in handling Linux Systems Administration tasks on RedHat and SLES Linux.

Ø Performance Monitoring and experienced in monitoring tools administration

Ø Hands on experience on Virtualization Technologies such as KVM, VMWARE.

Ø Hand on with implementing SSSD, LDAP, and other Identity and Authentication tools.

Ø Experience with one or more of Shell/Perl/python scripting and other programming languages.

Ø AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Administration experience will be plus.

Ø Performance monitoring and reporting for the compute, storage and network resources

Ø Good understanding for Networking and Storage concepts

Ø Ensuring that the processes are adhered to

Ø Ensure

maximum uptime according to the SLA

Ø Executing tickets / requests

Ø Monitoring and mentoring junior team members

Ø Identifying and suggesting implementation of new technologies/products for enhancement

Ø Helping team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems

Ø Knowledge of ITIL best practice on incident management, change management and problem management

Ø ITIL, RHEL or MCSE or other relevant certifications are desirable

Ø Must be willing to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis with the team.

Ø Must be willing to travel – both short-term and long-term

Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
