Sage is seeking a Snowflake-focused Cloud Operations Engineer for its Cloud Operations team.
The role operates secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient production platforms across multi-cloud, multi-region environments.
The position is hands-on, Snowflake-heavy, BI-tools-heavy, and focused on SaaS operations.
Workplace
- This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the Bangalore office.
Requirements
- Have at least three years of hands-on enterprise Snowflake administration and support experience.
- Have two to three years of experience managing cloud infrastructure and data platforms on AWS and/or Azure.
- Hold Snowflake Certification such as SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced.
- Experience administering relational database platforms is a plus.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to occasional off-hours outages.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain Snowflake platforms and services.
- Maintain AWS and Azure infrastructure and implement Snowflake architecture, security, RBAC, and governance.
- Monitor environments, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize performance and cost.
- Build automation with SQL, SnowSQL, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, stored procedures, Python, and Shell scripting.
- Manage data ingestion, schema changes, database objects, sharing, replication, cloning, Time Travel, and disaster recovery.
- Improve availability, scalability, reliability, and efficiency through automation and monitoring.
- Resolve service requests and incidents within defined SLAs and support service restoration.
On-Call Schedule
- The role includes participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation and occasional off-hours outage response.
