About the Role
DeepSource seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, deploy, and manage VMware environments and build automation pipelines using Terraform and Ansible. The role includes deploying Kubernetes clusters, architecting GCP solutions, and providing L2/L3 support for complex infrastructure issues.

Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage VMware environments including vSphere, NSX T, vSAN, and ESXi for enterprise clients
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation pipelines using Terraform and Ansible across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments
- Deploy and optimize Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads, supporting CI/CD integration and day to day operations
- Architect and implement Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions, including compute, networking, storage, and identity management
- Develop and maintain IaC templates for consistent, repeatable deployments across staging and production environments
- Integrate VMware infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines to streamline DevOps workflows and reduce manual operations
- Provide L2/L3 support for complex issues across virtualization, networking, and hybrid cloud environments
- Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management for critical infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including DevOps, security, and project management to ensure delivery excellence
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks
- Support data center migration and infrastructure resiliency planning initiatives
Requirements
- Experience with VMware stack: vSphere, NSX T, vSAN, and ESXi administration and troubleshooting
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and Ansible for configuration management
- Hands on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or equivalent public cloud environment (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and integration with infrastructure workflows
- Strong incident management skills with experience in L2/L3 support and shift leadership
- Excellent communication skills; able to collaborate with both technical teams and client stakeholders
