Clinical Research Coordinator Associate

We are seeking a superstar, highly motivated, organized, reliable, and community-oriented English/Spanish bilingual Full-Time Research Coordinator / Research Data Collector for a Stanford family healthy weight research program for children with obesity and their parents.

The research study includes weekly family-based group sessions, online activities, and repeated research assessments over time.

This position will serve as a primary data collector for child and parent assessments, including administering surveys and physical measurements and will also support weekly family sessions.

Some evening and/or weekend availability will be required.

include:

• Coordinate study activities from startup through close-out, including participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, enrollment, data collection, and follow-up.
• Serve as a primary contact for research participants, families, sponsors, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
• Communicate regularly with prospective and enrolled families in a professional, supportive, and culturally appropriate manner.
• Determine participant eligibility, obtain informed consent according to protocol, and assist with recruitment and community outreach strategies.
• Serve as a primary data collector for child and parent assessments, including administering surveys, questionnaires, and standardized interview questions.
• Explain study procedures to participants in a clear, professional, and participant-friendly manner.
• Collect child and parent study data according to standardized research protocols, study manuals, and certification requirements.
• Conduct anthropometric and related body composition measurements, including height, weight, waist circumference, and other study-specified measures.
• Coordinate and administer health behavior assessments, including physical activity, sedentary behavior, sleep, screen time, and dietary assessment procedures.
• Enter, manage, and track participant data in secure study databases accurately and promptly.
• Develop and maintain study-related documents, flow sheets, case report forms, tracking logs, and other study materials.
• Review study records and case report forms for completeness and accuracy against source documents.
• Track assessment completion, coordinate reminders and make-up visits, and proactively follow up with families to minimize missing data.
• Ensure compliance with research protocols, institutional requirements, IRB approvals, and regulatory documentation standards.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and assist with IRB renewals, monitor visits, sponsor meetings, and regulatory audits.
• Interact regularly with the principal investigator and study team to ensure participant safety, data quality, and adherence to proper study conduct.
• Assist with training and supervision of additional study staff related to recruitment, enrollment, assessment procedures, and data collection.
• Participate in delivery of weekly group health behavior change sessions for children and parents during evening hours.
• Participate in family engagement and participation throughout the intervention program.
• Other activities as needed to assist in the successful conduct of the study.
