Role overview
Build and lead high-performing clinical research teams that partner with investigative sites to deliver effective clinical trials.
Provide strategic planning, oversight, and direction to achieve on-time, within-budget, and quality delivery of clinical studies.
Partner with internal stakeholders to support AbbVie's R&D portfolio and clinical research strategy.
Responsibilities
- Hire, retain, manage performance, mentor, assign tasks to, and develop clinical research team members.
- Lead team oversight, accompanied visits, priority programs, trend analysis, gap assessments, and performance improvement.
- Ensure adherence to GCP, ICH Guidelines, SOPs, local regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain audit and inspection readiness and oversee audits and CAPA preparation and implementation.
- Manage team resources, assigned study budgets, and payments where applicable.
- Drive change, process improvement, collaboration, and team connection to business strategy.
- Partner with research sites, investigators, key opinion leaders, national leads, and affiliate teams to support pipeline execution.
Requirements
- A bachelor's or equivalent health-related degree is preferred.
