Role Overview
The Clinical Operational Manager supports person-centred, quality-based care and provides clinical and managerial oversight for a residential service supporting three young adults with complex needs.
The role oversees approximately 25 healthcare assistants and supports day-to-day care delivery across the Complex Care teams.
Location
- The role is based onsite in Bedford.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary is £48,000 per annum.
- A £500 joining bonus is available following successful completion of the first month.
- Mileage compensation is provided for travel between services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the service manager and care team.
- Review care plans and risk assessments and conduct medication and clinical audits.
- Provide clinical supervision, training, and competency assessments for care staff.
- Support safe, person-centred care for people with long-term and complex conditions.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and participate in audits, spot checks, and feedback sessions.
- Oversee 20–30 care workers and undertake regular care shifts to monitor care provision.
- Provide out-of-hours clinical escalation with the wider Clinical Lead team.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse in Adult or Learning Disability nursing with valid NMC registration.
- Experience in complex care and supporting individuals with a learning disability.
- Community experience and leadership experience.
- Commitment to high standards of clinical practice and person-centred care.
