Deliver day-to-day operational support across a portfolio of energy, water and net zero technology contracts, programmes and trade associations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with utility clients, technology providers and key stakeholders, ensuring a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
Act as a point of contact for routine client enquiries, responding promptly and referring complex contract, technology or governance matters to the appropriate colleague.
Work collaboratively with technical, regulatory and commercial colleagues to ensure clients receive the expertise required to meet their objectives.
Meeting and Governance Support
Coordinate and support forum meetings, working with Chairs and committee members to ensure effective preparation, facilitation and follow-up.
Monitor progress against actions and decisions, ensuring outcomes are effectively tracked and communicated.
Ensure governance processes are followed and that documentation is accurate, consistent, and professionally presented.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
Review and quality-assure documents, reports, and communications across contracts and projects.
Apply agreed quality, consistency and professional standards in own work and support colleagues in using established templates and processes.
Suggest practical improvements to processes, systems and client services, and support their implementation under appropriate guidance.
Support the development and maintenance of guidance documents, procedures, knowledge repositories, and FAQs.
Stakeholder Engagement and Market Awareness
Support effective working relationships with energy and water companies, regulators, government bodies, trade associations, innovators and technology providers.
Share relevant market information and potential client needs with senior colleagues to support service development activities.
Contribute research and draft content, as required, for market insight, website and promotional materials relating to energy, water and net zero innovation.
Represent the business professionally in stakeholder interactions and contribute to a positive client experience.
Knowledge Management and Collaboration
Develop and maintain knowledge of UK energy and water markets, utility regulation and net zero policy, with particular emphasis on metering, digitalisation, data, flexible demand and resource efficiency.
Track relevant technologies and market developments, including smart meters, advanced metering infrastructure, connected assets, energy storage, electric vehicle charging, heat decarbonisation, renewable energy and intelligent water networks.
Highlight recurring knowledge needs and contribute to the preparation of guidance or learning materials for colleagues and stakeholders.
Share expertise across the wider team and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Provide practical support and share knowledge with colleagues as part of day-to-day collaborative working.
Risk and Issue Support
Identify and record operational, governance and knowledge-management risks or issues arising through day-to-day delivery.
Follow established controls and procedures that support service quality and customer experience.
Escalate risks and issues promptly to the appropriate colleague and assist with agreed follow-up actions.

Requirements
Essential
Excellent written, verbal, and numerical communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, committees, or governance forums.
Ability to produce high-quality written documentation, including minutes, reports, briefing papers, and stakeholder communications.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
Experience working in a customer-facing or client management environment.
Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Desirable
Experience within UK energy, water or net zero markets, particularly smart metering, advanced metering infrastructure, digital networks or low-carbon technology.
Knowledge of energy or water regulation, industry codes, governance structures or assurance frameworks.
Understanding of technologies such as renewable generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging, heat pumps, hydrogen, carbon management, water efficiency, leakage reduction or intelligent water networks.
Experience working with utilities, technology providers, trade associations, industry forums or member organisations.
Experience supporting budget administration, account coordination or contract reporting.
Experience sharing knowledge or providing practical support to colleagues.
Understanding of quality management and risk management principles.
