  • Position: Client Executive (business development)
  • Location: Bessemer, AL / on site + travel to client sites when necessary (local and southeast mainly)
  • Target Salary: $170 210k base + 20 25% bonus
  • Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer
  • Focus Areas (Target Client Industries): Data Centers, Retail/Financial Services, or Healthcare

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and develop new client opportunities within target markets.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects, strategic accounts, and revenue opportunities.
  • Develop capture plans and go to market strategies in partnership with internal leadership teams.
  • Lead or support proposal development, RFP responses, client presentations, and pursuit strategies.
  • Represent the organization at client meetings, conferences, industry events, and market facing activities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing dynamics, and client capital plans.
  • Identify adjacent market opportunities and scalable program initiatives.
  • Convert prospects into long term strategic relationships and repeat business opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned strategic accounts and clients.
  • Maintain strong executive, operational, and project level client relationships.
  • Ensure client satisfaction, retention, repeat business, and long term account growth.
  • Understand client goals, capital plans, operational challenges, and future project pipelines.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in business development, strategic account management, construction, real estate development, program management, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to grow client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Experience supporting complex clients, capital projects, multi site programs, or large scale initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, retail, financial services, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading proposals, pursuits, executive presentations, and strategic client discussions.
  • Strong commercial acumen including forecasting, pipeline management, pricing awareness, and contract strategy.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, or related field preferred.
