You are not competing for an existing budget line, you are arguing the line should exist, and that argument only lands from someone the buyer recognizes as a peer.

Turn: The field back into the product.

What you learn inside the book becomes the roadmap, with direct, unfiltered access to engineering and the CEO, and the expectation that you use it.

Diagnose: Divergence and say which is which out loud.

You will be right sometimes and wrong sometimes, and that honesty is not a soft skill here, it is the entire sales motion.

You have personal ownership of a loss ratio, a rate filing, or a treaty renewal, and can name the book, the state, the year, and the number.

You have practitioner fluency in Touchstone, RMS, or AIR, as a user who distrusted an output, not as someone who sold or integrated one.

You have a real network at the decision layer: fifteen or more Chief Actuaries, Chief Underwriting Officers, and Heads of Cat Modeling who would take your call today.
