About the Role
Royal Drugs Burnaby is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant (Cleanroom Technician) to prepare and compound intravenous admixtures, maintain inventory, and ensure facility compliance in a sterile compounding facility.

Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of sufficient supplies in dispensary to meet compounding demands.
- Prepare, process, dispense, and compound intravenous admixtures of antibiotics, total parenteral nutrition and other orders as per defined work instructions.
- Pick, inspect, verify, and disinfect all components against the order sheet to be used for compounding.
- Enter and program infusion pump parameters to be verified by the pharmacist.
- Perform validation, calibration, and microbiological monitoring and checking.
- Assist in the cleaning of equipment, totes, and work surfaces and maintain facility compliance with Royal Drugs standards.
- Maintain and participate in inventory counts.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a pharmacy practice setting
- Secondary school education and 1 year pharmacy experience an asset
- IV experience or prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting ideal, but not required
- Sound knowledge of aseptic technique an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities under pressure
- Ability to handle multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints
- Able to work individually and in a group setting
- Flexible and adaptable to changes of responsibility
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail

- We are a community partner and licensed pharmacy, providing expert solutions and support resources to healthcare professionals, hospitals, patients, caregivers, and home care programs across the country.
