Role Overview
Lead hygiene, sanitation, and occupational safety practices in a food production environment.
Maintain compliance with Dubai Municipality, international food safety, and occupational health and safety standards.
Hygiene and Safety Leadership
- Develop, implement, and enforce hygiene protocols aligned with FSSC 22000, HACCP, and Dubai Municipality food safety regulations.
- Establish hygiene and safety awareness among hygiene, production, and maintenance staff.
- Train new staff and provide awareness sessions to existing staff on food safety, hygiene, GMP, and occupational safety.
- Provide guidance and support for effective execution of hygiene and safety protocols.
- Improve hygiene-practice awareness among department chefs and foster a proactive safety culture.
Supervision and Inspections
- Supervise hygiene staff, including manpower planning, shift coverage, and training.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure staff awareness and adherence to hygiene practices.
- Lead corrective actions and root cause analysis for hygiene or safety non-conformances.
- Verify hygiene compliance at the start of shifts and initiate controls for non-conformances.
- Manage cleaning staff duty-roster coverage for all shifts.
