About The Role

Title : Cleaning Operative Contract : Fixed Term until 31st December 2026 Location : Wigmore Primary/ Nursery School Hours : 10 per week Salary : £12.76 per hour

Annual Leave : To be taken during Term Holidays Working Hours: Monday to Friday 4pm - 6pm

Closing Date: 27th September 2026 Interview Dates: 5th October 2026

Hoople is looking to recruit cleaning operatives to be based at Wigmore Primary School.

As a Cleaning Operative, you will carry out a variety of housekeeping tasks, safely and professionally and to a high standard.

Your day-to-day duties will include

  • Cleaning of designated areas within the school
  • Mopping and sweeping floors
  • Use of vacuum cleaners for the cleaning of carpets
  • Cleaning desks and other furniture
  • Cleaning of kitchenettes
  • Cleaning of welfare facilities - washrooms
  • Use and handling chemicals
  • Empty waste bins, remove rubbish to collection areas
  • Carrying out any other reasonable management requests
