Job Description
A **Cleaner** is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the **Restaurant.** This includes dining areas, kitchen support areas, restrooms, storage spaces, and staff facilities.
The role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and staff in compliance with restaurant hygiene and food safety standards.
1. General Cleaning Duties
· Clean and sanitize dining areas, tables, chairs, floors, and service stations.
· Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.
· Clean glass doors, windows, mirrors, and walls as required.
· Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly following restaurant guidelines.
2. Restroom & Wash Area Maintenance
· Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, and handwashing areas.
· Refill soap, tissue, paper towels, and other hygiene supplies.
· Make sure restrooms remain clean, dry, and odor-free always.
3. Kitchen & Back-of-House Support
· Assist in cleaning kitchen floors, walls, drains, and non-cooking equipment.
· Wash cleaning tools, buckets, mops, and maintain their proper storage.
· Support dishwashing area when required (without handling food unless instructed).
· Follow strict hygiene and sanitation procedures in food-related areas.
4. Hygiene & Safety Compliance
· Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
· Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly as instructed.
· Always wear proper uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Immediately report any hazards, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors.
5. Equipment & Supplies Handling
· Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
· Inform supervisors when cleaning materials or supplies are running low.
· Store chemicals and equipment safely after use.
6. Team Support & Discipline
· Assist other departments when required during busy hours.
· Follow instructions from supervisors and management.
· Maintain good teamwork, discipline, and a respectful attitude.
· Perform additional cleaning tasks assigned by management as needed.
Job Rules & Conduct
· Must report to duty on time and follow assigned schedules.
· Maintain personal cleanliness and professional appearance.
· No use of mobile phones during working hours except when permitted.
· Respect restaurant property, customers, and staff always.
· Smoking, eating, or resting in unauthorized areas is strictly not allowed.
· Failure to follow hygiene or safety rules may lead to disciplinary action.
