Requirements
- Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Driving Experience: Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
- Equipment Operation: Demonstrated ability to safely operate collection vehicles and hydraulic systems.
- Safety Commitment: Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive operational roles.
- Reliability: Strong attendance record and flexibility to support early morning start schedules and operational overtime when needed.
Responsibilities
- Safe Fleet Operation: Operate a truck and ancillary equipment on a specified route. Maneuver truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, using mirrors to back up.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete required trip logs and paperwork.
- Deliver Excellence: Open container enclosures or gates to access cans. As needed, roll bins on castors into position for dumping. Courteously interacts with customers and/or the general public along the route to answer questions or respond to requests; Notify supervisor of issues requiring management action.
