Job Overview
Responsible for the engineering, inspection, supervision, installation, modification, and maintenance of civil and steel structures associated with port, terminal, industrial, and heavy equipment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering inspections and assessments of steel structures and civil works at ports, terminals, and industrial facilities.
- Supervise steel structure fabrication, installation, erection, modification, and repair activities.
- Review structural drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with structural fabricators, contractors, surveyors, welders, and site teams.
- Verify structural dimensions, elevations, levels, alignment, tolerances, and installation quality.
- Supervise installation of steel structures, platforms, access structures, walkways, ladders, handrails, supports, equipment frames, and related structures.
- Support projects involving reefer racks, crane structures, equipment foundations, cable support structures, platforms, maintenance structures, and terminal infrastructure.
- Inspect existing structures for corrosion, deformation, cracks, damaged members, loose connections, and other defects.
- Prepare inspection reports, site reports, punch lists, and structural condition assessments.
- Coordinate structural modifications and strengthening works.
- Monitor bolted and welded connections and verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure proper installation and tightening of structural bolts and connections.
