Role Description
ABT Steel Contracting LLC is looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer / Site Engineer who can independently manage a specialized marine concrete fabrication project and also support our ongoing civil construction projects across the UAE.
The immediate project involves the fabrication and casting of large underwater concrete sculptures, including complex 3D moulds, M50 marine-grade concrete and specialist stainless-steel reinforcement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage concrete casting inside complex and irregular 3D moulds.
- Prepare the complete casting methodology, pour sequence and execution plan.
- Coordinate M50 marine concrete mix designs, trial mixes and concrete suppliers.
- Manage reinforcement fabrication and installation, including stainless/duplex steel reinforcement.
- Ensure correct concrete placement, vibration and compaction without damaging moulds.
- Control honeycombing, cold joints, air pockets and surface defects.
- Supervise curing, demoulding, surface repairs and final finishing.
- Coordinate concrete cube testing, inspections, QA/QC documentation and consultant approvals.
- Prepare method statements, ITPs, material submissions, RFIs and inspection requests.
- Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment.
- Prepare quantities, material requirements and site progress reports.
- Handle other civil projects including foundations, RCC works, slabs, warehouses, villas, blockwork, waterproofing and general construction activities.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering degree/diploma.
- Strong hands-on experience in RCC and concrete execution.
- Experience with complex concrete casting, precast, architectural concrete or marine concrete will be highly preferred.
- Good understanding of reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, concrete mix design and QA/QC.
- UAE construction/site experience preferred.
- Dubai Municipality Engineer License – minimum G+1; G+4 preferred.
- Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
- Able to independently manage projects from planning through casting and completion.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Must be comfortable working on multiple civil projects simultaneously.
