About the role

VETECH Engineering Solutions is hiring a Project Engineer – Operations & Coordination for its Abu Dhabi team.

The position is intended for a junior to mid-level Civil Engineer developing beyond a traditional site engineering role.

The role coordinates projects from award through execution and close-out with consultants, contractors, clients, suppliers, authorities, design teams, and site teams.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate assigned projects from award through completion and handover.
Conduct regular site visits and follow up progress, quality, readiness, and execution requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, suppliers, authorities, design teams, site teams, and internal teams.
Follow up drawings, calculations, technical submissions, and consultant comments.
Coordinate municipality and authority submissions and approvals.
Attend project meetings and follow up pending actions and technical matters.
Support estimates, quantity take-offs, and project budgets.
Coordinate procurement, material requirements, supplier quotations, and deliveries.
Monitor schedules, priorities, risks, and outstanding actions.
Support progress invoices, payment certifications, outstanding payments, and commercial matters.
Maintain project records, approvals, correspondence, and status reports.
Identify variations and additional works and report them to management.

Candidate requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
UAE construction experience is highly preferred.
Good understanding of structural and civil drawings and construction documentation.
Basic knowledge of estimation, quantities, procurement, and project costs.
Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
Good written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and general project documentation.
AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality and UAE authority procedures is an advantage.
A valid UAE driving licence is strongly preferred.
Experience in post-tensioning, structural systems, specialty slabs, or specialist construction is advantageous but not mandatory.

The candidate should be comfortable working between the office and construction sites and communicating professionally with consultants and contractors.
