Role Overview
Estimate and manage civil construction projects from tender submission through project closeout.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, construction teams, and company management while representing owner and client interests.
Project Management
- Manage project performance against schedules, budgets, contract specifications, quality, health and safety, and environmental requirements.
- Create budgets, monitor costs, forecast activity costs, prepare cost-to-complete reports, and facilitate accurate progress billings.
- Manage procurement, materials, purchase orders, subcontractor scopes, project expenditures, risks, change management, and closeout documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, attend meetings, provide field support, and coordinate resources and deliveries with the superintendent.
Estimating
- Prepare cost estimates and tender package submissions for new projects.
- Read contract drawings and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit and analyze subcontractor pricing, and review design changes.
- Review shop drawings, distribute updated drawings and specifications, and prepare construction cost budgets when required.
