Job Description
Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector for roads and infrastructure work in Dubai, UAE.
The role performs continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct civil and structural tests involving soil, aggregate, concrete, surveys, bolt torques, and concrete coring.
- Perform destructive and nondestructive testing on metals and other materials, including paint thickness and resistivity testing.
- Inspect underground piping, piling installation, piping systems, electrical installations, painting, and insulation.
- Provide general inspection of construction labor and subcontracted tasks for professional workmanship.
- Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations.
- Participate in quality control reports and procedures and in the development of job safety practices and safety reports.
Required Skills
- Diploma or associate degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 5 years of construction experience.
- Experience with roads, bridges, drainage, utilities, or irrigation projects.
- Strong analytical capabilities and ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors, inspectors, and engineers.
- Knowledge of construction-site safety procedures and regulations.
