Role Overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector for a major roads and infrastructure project in Dubai.
The role combines inspection and supervision of roads and infrastructure works to ensure execution in accordance with project specifications.
Job Duties
- Review contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, health and safety measures, and updates.
- Ensure contractor compliance with contract standards and specifications.
- Maintain daily records of contractor personnel and equipment resources.
- Perform site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Follow up with the contractor on resources, health and safety, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare daily reports covering work orders, material deliveries, and inspection programs.
- Implement site instructions and site quality control procedures.
- Prepare site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels.
- Coordinate client project manager inspections with the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain inspection records.
- Assist with contract correspondence and resolve site problems with the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Monitor commissioning and handover, project milestones, material tests, and executed works records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
- At least five years of experience on similar projects, including at least three years in the UAE.
- Relevant experience on comparable infrastructure and roads projects.
- RTA approval is preferred.
- UAE experience is preferred.
Workplace
- The project is located in Dubai and the work location model is on-site.
- New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
