Job Summary
Seeking a Civil Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor for civil and industrial construction projects.
The role covers cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, tender submissions, valuations, subcontractor evaluations, and commercial documentation.
The position coordinates with estimation, procurement, engineering, project management, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, pricing schedules, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract requirements.
- Prepare estimates for civil works, tank foundations, pipe racks, equipment foundations, roads, drainage, and industrial infrastructure.
- Prepare rate analyses and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop budgets, monitor costs, prepare valuations, payment applications, variations, claims, forecasts, and commercial reports.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, site, accounts, and construction teams on quantities, costs, payments, and contract administration.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify quantities, progress, and existing conditions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Five to eight years of UAE or GCC experience in civil estimation, quantity surveying, or commercial roles.
- Strong experience in oil and gas, industrial, infrastructure, tank construction, and civil construction projects.
- Proven experience preparing BOQs, estimates, tender submissions, rate analysis, valuations, and variations.
- Experience with storage tank foundations, concrete structures, roads, drainage, earthworks, buildings, pipe racks, and industrial infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC construction rates, materials, labour costs, and subcontractor pricing.
