Role Description
The Civil Engineering Manager will provide part-time, remote technical leadership for infrastructure- and stormwater-related support to RBH hosts and their client businesses.
This role includes reviewing and advising on civil engineering aspects of projects, such as site infrastructure, drainage, and stormwater systems, with a focus on sustainability and regulatory alignment.
The Civil Engineering Manager will coordinate and manage project timelines, support the design and evaluation of infrastructure concepts, and ensure that technical guidance aligns with local standards and international best practices.
Day-to-day tasks include overseeing virtual project meetings, reviewing documentation and inspection reports, advising on risk mitigation, and preparing concise technical summaries for non-technical stakeholders.
The role also involves mentoring team members, collaborating with international partners, and contributing to the development of tools, guidelines, and training materials for responsible infrastructure planning.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating multi-stakeholder civil infrastructure initiatives.
- Technical expertise in Stormwater Management and Infrastructure design, with experience in sustainable and resilient solutions.
- Proven Team Leadership abilities, including mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and guiding diverse, remote teams.
- Experience with Inspection and assessment of civil works, including documentation, compliance checks, and quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; professional licensure or certification is an advantage.
- Experience working on international or multi-country projects, preferably in emerging markets or development cooperation contexts.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Comfort working part time in a fully remote environment, managing time zones and virtual collaboration tools effectively.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards, environmental regulations, or corporate due diligence frameworks is highly beneficial.
