Role Overview
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate for its Transportation team in Markham, Ontario.
The role focuses on highway planning and design for provincial highway facilities.
The target start date is January or May 2027.
Responsibilities
- Work within the Highway Design group on planning and design of provincial highway facilities.
- Prepare reports, construction plans, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design engineers, technicians, and planners.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids under supervision.
- Follow corporate quality procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must be completing or must have completed a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering focused on Transportation, Highway, or Roadway Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, AutoTurn, InRoads/OpenRoads, or InfraWorks is preferred.
- Relevant internship or professional experience supporting transportation design is preferred.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills are preferred.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software is preferred.
