Job Purpose
- The Structural Design Manager is responsible for leading and managing structural design activities within the Technical Office.
- The role includes preparing and reviewing structural studies, calculations, and design drawings while ensuring compliance with project requirements, the Saudi Building Code, and applicable engineering standards.
- The position also oversees the Technical Office Design Unit, including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire & Life Safety disciplines, ensuring effective multidisciplinary coordination, high quality design deliverables, adherence to project schedules, and client requirements.
- In addition, the role participates in reviewing and approving BIM models, managing technical coordination across disciplines, and supporting the preparation of technical proposals and project design deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering).
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- Professional Engineer classification/certification.
- 7 12 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing structural designs, calculations, and drawings for various types of projects.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and supervising design activities.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant structural codes and standards.
- Strong technical review, quality assurance, time management, and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and specialized design tools.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software, including ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD.
- Advanced knowledge of local and international engineering codes and standards.
- Prepare structural studies and design solutions for various projects.
- Perform structural analysis for buildings and infrastructure.
- Design structural elements in accordance with engineering standards.
- Review structural loads and verify the safety and integrity of design solutions.
- Develop efficient and practical structural engineering solutions for project requirements.
