Role Overview
The posting describes a Civil Engineer / Quantity Surveyor role with junior quantity surveying responsibilities.
The work covers pre-tender estimating, post-contract administration, cost control, subcontract management, and project closeout.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, estimation, and quotation revisions.
- Prepare RFQs and compare subcontractor quotations.
- Manage and negotiate with subcontractors.
- Prepare subcontractor payments and payment certification documentation.
- Prepare variations and present them to the consultant for approval.
- Coordinate with consultant and client engineers to support project cash flow.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Compile payments, variations, and related items for final project closure.
- Support change management, cost management, and budget control.
- Review BOQs, track material costs and budgets, monitor project status, and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist the QS with financial documents, cost estimates, and budgets through construction closeout.
Requirements
- University degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline such as Construction Management.
