The position supports CAD drafting, drawing preparation, site visits, measurements, project coordination, documentation, and technical support.
Role Details
- Experience listed for the role is 0–2 years, and freshers with relevant AutoCAD or CAD knowledge may apply.
- The role reports to a Project Manager or Senior Civil Engineer.
CAD and Drawing Work
- Prepare, modify, and update 2D drawings using AutoCAD or CAD software.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, plans, and technical specifications.
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and detailed drawings.
- Maintain drawing revisions, approvals, CAD files, and project folders.
Site Visits and Field Work
- Visit project sites, company locations, or client locations for measurements, inspections, coordination, and technical support.
- Take site measurements, verify site conditions against drawings, and report discrepancies.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, vendors, and other personnel.
- Monitor ongoing civil work and assist senior engineers with site-related technical issues.
Project and Measurement Support
- Coordinate between office or design teams and site teams.
- Assist with planning and execution of civil engineering activities.
- Assist with quantity calculations, BOQs, material requirements, and estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, project data, and documentation.
Quality, Safety, and Reporting
- Ensure civil work follows approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Follow company and site safety procedures and use PPE during site visits.
- Prepare site reports, progress reports, drawing records, and other engineering documentation.
Required Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD or CAD software is required.
- Basic civil engineering principles and construction practices are required.
- The candidate must be able to read and understand civil engineering drawings.
- The candidate must be willing to work on-site and travel to project locations when required.
