Role overview
Supervise and manage civil construction activities at project sites in Dubai.
Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, project schedules, and Dubai Municipality regulations.
Construction and coordination responsibilities
- Coordinate with Dubai Municipality, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, MEP teams, clients, and other authorities.
- Review architectural, structural, civil, shop, and as-built drawings, along with method statements and material submittals.
- Monitor site progress, inspect civil works, verify materials, and resolve technical issues and construction defects.
- Coordinate concrete pouring, inspections, testing, setting-out, levels, dimensions, and site measurements.
Commercial and project documentation
- Prepare progress reports, BOQs, quantity take-offs, material requirements, estimates, and project records.
- Monitor costs and material wastage, verify subcontractor quantities, and assist with payment certifications.
- Raise and follow up on RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, inspection requests, approvals, and authority documentation.
Quality, safety, and completion
- Implement quality control procedures and coordinate with the HSE team to maintain site safety compliance.
- Support project handover, snagging, de-snagging, testing, final inspections, authority requirements, and completion.
Required qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Dubai Municipality approval/pass is mandatory.
- Relevant civil construction experience in Dubai or the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality requirements, construction standards, drawings, specifications, and civil works.
- Experience in site supervision and contractor or subcontractor coordination.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, coordination, independent site management, and technical problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- Knowledge of quantity surveying, BOQ, and quantity take-offs is an advantage.
- UAE driving licence is an advantage.
- Experience with residential buildings, commercial buildings, villas, fit-out, renovation, or general construction projects in Dubai is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 2,500 to AED 5,000 per month.
