Description & Requirements
- This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
Description & Requirements
- Provide one-on-one supervision while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
- Support emotional regulation using calm, consistent approaches.
- Monitor for seizure activity and follow established care and safety plans.
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Communicate using the child's preferred non-verbal communication methods and respond to behavioral cues.
- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities that encourage participation, sensory regulation, and enjoyment.
- Follow established routines and collaborate closely with the family to ensure consistent care.
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
- Calm under pressure and able to respond thoughtfully during challenging behaviors.
- Experience supporting children with autism, developmental disabilities, or sensory processing differences.
- Comfortable supporting a child who is non-verbal and has a seizure disorder.
- Able to balance active engagement with quiet, sensory-friendly activities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families.
- Previous respite, caregiving, education, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
- Must successfully pass a caregiver/criminal background check.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Ability to safely assist with personal care and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Experience with non-verbal communication methods or willingness to learn.
