Role Description
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Riyadh, with flexibility for partial work from home.
The CTO will define and own the overall technology vision and roadmap for EmaarX.AI’s agentic AI marketplace, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of the platform.
Day-to-day responsibilities include leading software engineering teams, guiding architecture decisions, and overseeing end-to-end product development cycles from discovery to deployment.
The CTO will collaborate closely with product, operations, and commercial teams to align technology initiatives with business goals and user needs.
The role also involves establishing engineering best practices, managing technology budgets and vendor relationships, and building a diverse, high-performing technical organization.
In addition, the CTO will stay current with AI and construction-tech trends, evaluate new tools and frameworks, and ensure compliance with relevant data protection and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Software Development, with hands-on experience in modern web, cloud, and AI-driven platforms.
- Proven ability in IT Strategy and Technology Leadership, including long-term roadmap planning and aligning technology with business objectives.
- Expertise in Systems and Solution Architecture, designing scalable, secure, and high-availability enterprise or marketplace platforms.
- Demonstrated success in Product Development, working closely with product management to deliver user-centered, data-informed features.
- Experience in Project Management, including leading cross-functional teams, setting priorities, and delivering complex initiatives on time.
- Prior leadership experience in a tech startup or high-growth environment; marketplace or construction-tech experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, data platforms, and API-first ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
