About the Role
PayDigital, a leading digital goods acquiring platform in the CIS, is seeking a CTO to own architecture, engineering team, service resilience, security, and partner onboarding speed.

Responsibilities
- Form and develop the product's technical strategy: architectural principles, service boundaries, integration contracts, data model, and technology roadmap
- Design a B2B platform for digital goods catalog, pricing, orders, fulfillment, returns, payments, and supplier settlements
- Build reliable integrations with digital goods suppliers, payment providers, partners, and internal operational systems
- Develop documentation, sandbox environments, version control, and observability of integrations
- Establish engineering organization: hiring, team structure, areas of responsibility, development processes, code review, technical planning, and delivery management
- Implement engineering practices: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, release management, feature flags, secure secret storage
- Shape security approach: access management, IAM/SSO, API protection, secure SDLC, dependency scanning, SAST, secret scanning, vulnerability control
- Develop Service Operations: SLA, incident management, L2/L3 support, partner and supplier issue handling, digital goods quality control
- Participate in product strategy formation and evaluate new directions from development, operational model, risk, and scalability perspectives
Requirements
- Experience as CTO, Head of Engineering, System Architect, or Enterprise Architect with responsibility for production systems and engineering teams
- Experience building or significantly developing B2B SaaS, marketplace, e commerce, payment, or API platform
- Ability to design high load, fault tolerant backend systems with order correctness, idempotency, data consistency, and observability
- Practical experience with microservice or modular architecture
- Strong understanding of API design, synchronous/asynchronous integrations, queues, event driven approaches
- Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices, IAM, secret management, secure development, and public API operations
- Experience with PostgreSQL and data model design for transactional systems
- Ability to build and develop teams: hire strong engineers, set technical standards, delegate, and maintain control over critical decisions
- Ability to communicate with business in terms of money, risks, timelines, development and operational costs

- Experience implementing ITIL/ITSM approaches, service management, incident/problem management, and BPMN for operational processes.
