Role Overview

AtheerB is building an AI-powered beauty technology platform for skin and hair analysis, beauty routines, product intelligence, recommendations, and progress tracking.

The company is seeking a hands-on founding CTO to lead the technology and AI foundation from Riyadh.

The role is equity-based with no salary at this stage.

Platform Scope

The technology ecosystem will include customer web and mobile experiences, Arabic and English experiences with RTL support, internal CRM systems, partner commerce integrations, secure customer data, AI infrastructure, and APIs.

The platform is intended to serve customers initially in Saudi Arabia and ultimately across international markets.

Planned AI capabilities include image analysis, conversational beauty intelligence, recommendation engines, ingredient intelligence, and longitudinal personalization.

CTO Mission

Define the technical architecture and technology roadmap and lead development of the independent platform.
Build and manage the founding engineering team and establish engineering standards and development processes.
Lead backend, frontend, mobile, AI, and cloud architecture and design scalable APIs and data infrastructure.
Build foundations for AI-powered skin and hair analysis and personalized product and routine recommendations.
Lead LLM, multimodal AI, computer vision, and AI-agent integrations.
Establish AI evaluation, monitoring, and quality-control systems.
Build secure authentication and data-management systems.
Oversee DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, production infrastructure, privacy, security, and international scalability.
Work directly with the Founder, product, design, business, and marketing leadership.

Desired Experience

Strong experience is sought across AI-first product development, software architecture, Python, TypeScript, frontend, backend and API architecture, PostgreSQL, data infrastructure, and cloud platforms.
Relevant areas include computer vision, multimodal AI, LLMs, AI agents, RAG, recommendation engines, AI model and API integration, ML pipelines, and MLOps.
Cybersecurity, data privacy, CI/CD, automated testing, and high-scale consumer applications are relevant to the role.
Beauty-tech, health-tech, computer vision, e-commerce, or consumer AI experience would be highly valuable.
Candidates should be comfortable reviewing architecture, writing or reviewing code, rapidly prototyping AI capabilities, and troubleshooting production issues.
