Role Description
Lead the technical vision and strategy for the Academy’s platforms and digital products.
Oversee learning technology design and development with a focus on scalability, security, and user experience for instructors and learners.
Core Responsibilities
- Guide software development teams, define technical architecture, and prioritize product features.
- Collaborate with educators and operations to align technology with pedagogical goals.
- Set IT standards, select tools and frameworks, and manage technical roadmaps.
- Monitor performance and reliability, mentor technical staff, and support long-term innovation in programming education.
Qualifications
- Strong software development skills with experience building and maintaining scalable, secure applications.
- Project management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver technology initiatives on schedule and within scope.
- IT strategy skills to define long-term technical direction and align systems with organizational goals.
- Architecture skills to design robust system architectures and integrate multiple platforms and services.
- Product development skills to shape educational technology products from concept through launch and iteration.
- Proven technology leadership experience, preferably in edtech or software training environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for remote, cross-functional work.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, security best practices, and modern methodologies such as Agile or DevOps.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
