Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at STE – Brasil will oversee day-to-day operations across the company’s engineering consulting services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and safety standards.

This part-time, remote role will coordinate with technical, project management, and finance teams to optimize processes, improve resource allocation, and enhance operational performance.

The COO will support strategic planning, monitor key performance indicators, and implement operational policies and procedures to strengthen efficiency and client satisfaction.

The role also involves risk management, supporting business development initiatives, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture across distributed teams.

• Strong skills in Business Planning and strategic operations, with the ability to align operational priorities with organizational goals.
• Proven experience in Operations Management, including process optimization, project oversight, and cross-functional coordination.
• Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting decision-making.
• Solid background in Finance and Budgeting, including cost control, forecasting, and financial performance tracking.
• Previous leadership experience in engineering, infrastructure, or professional services organizations.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity, managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset.
