Role description
The Chief Operating Officer is a part-time, remote role overseeing day-to-day operations and delivery of HR consultancy services.
The role develops operational processes, aligns business plans with strategic goals, and optimizes resources across executive search, recruitment, and talent management projects.
The COO works with leadership to drive growth, maintain client satisfaction, and support scalable service delivery.
Core responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations and efficient delivery of HR consultancy services.
- Develop and refine operational processes and align business plans with strategic goals.
- Optimize resource allocation across executive search, recruitment, and talent management projects.
- Monitor financial performance, support budgeting decisions, and analyze operational data.
- Recommend improvements to enhance service quality and scalability.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to drive growth and maintain client satisfaction.
- Uphold GCD’s core pillars of Quality, Integrity, Consistency, and Transparency.
Qualifications
- Strong business planning and strategic management skills.
- Proven operations management experience, preferably in consulting, HR services, or professional services.
- Solid analytical skills for interpreting data and supporting evidence-based decisions.
- Knowledge of finance and budgeting, including cost management, forecasting, and financial sustainability.
- Experience in human resources, talent management, or recruitment is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills in a remote, cross-functional setting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, HR, or a related field.
- An advanced degree is a plus.
